Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Everything about Roamlinx eSIMs: activation, compatibility, data, refunds, and post-purchase support.

What is an eSIM and how does it work?
An eSIM is a digital SIM profile built into your phone (no physical card needed). After purchase, we send you: a QR code to scan, installation links for iOS and Android, and manual installation details (SM‑DP+ address + activation code).
How do I check if my phone supports eSIM?
Most newer smartphones, including popular Apple models (iPhone XR and newer), Samsung Galaxy (S20 and newer), and Google Pixel (3 and newer), support eSIM. To verify, check your phone’s network settings or consult the manufacturer’s website.
What if my phone doesn't support eSIM?
If your phone doesn't support eSIM, you can consider purchasing a compatible device from 9esim.com. It's a one-time investment that enables eSIM functionality on your smartphone.
Can I use eSIM abroad?
Yes! Our plans work in many countries and regions worldwide. Just activate your eSIM before departure or right after arrival to enjoy internet access.
Can I use eSIM and a physical SIM at the same time?
Yes, most modern phones with eSIM support also offer Dual SIM functionality. This means you can use both your physical SIM (your main number) and an eSIM simultaneously, and choose which line to use for data, calls, and messages.
Do I need a Wi-Fi connection to activate eSIM?
We recommend having a stable Wi-Fi connection during eSIM activation, especially before starting your trip. This ensures a smooth installation process.
How can I check how much data is left in my plan?
In your account at roamlinx.pl, under My eSIMs. Each profile shows how much data has been used, how much is left and when the validity ends. The figures come from the network operator and are refreshed regularly, so right after a long session they can be a little behind. Nothing to install.
Can I see what the confirmation email looks like before buying?
Yes — we made a short preview that shows the QR, install button, manual details, invoice link, and support. Open the email preview
What happens when my eSIM data package expires?
Once the data allowance is used up or the validity period ends, the package stops working. In your account such a profile is marked as finished: it can no longer be installed or topped up, and its ICCID stays visible in case you need it when contacting support. Order a new package to carry on.
Can I return or cancel a purchased eSIM plan?
No. Due to the nature of the service, once an eSIM is activated, it cannot be canceled or refunded. Please make sure your phone supports eSIM before purchasing.
How many days do I have to activate my eSIM after purchase?
You can activate your eSIM at any time within 180 days from the date of purchase. Just install the eSIM and connect to a mobile network in your destination country to start using it.
Do your eSIMs allow tethering/hotspot?
Yes, our plans fully support tethering, allowing you to share your mobile data with other devices — like laptops, tablets, or friends’ phones. We do not block or limit hotspot functionality in any way. Whether you're working remotely, traveling, or just need a quick Wi-Fi connection — you can use your data as needed, with no hidden fees or restrictions.
Do you offer Unlimited packages?
Yes. Unlimited plans include the full-speed data shown on the card. After you use that allowance, data keeps working at a reduced speed until the end of the UTC day. Example: 500MB / 1 Day Unlimited - 512 Kbps = 500MB at full speed, then 512 Kbps until 00:00 UTC.
How can I make voice calls using your eSIM?
eSIMs are primarily used for data. To make voice calls, you can use VoIP apps or messaging platforms like WhatsApp or Google Meet over your data connection. SMS functionality is generally not supported.
How many times can I install the eSIM, and can I transfer it to another device?
On the same phone, as many times as you need. The profile belongs to that device (its EID), so if you delete it you can add it again with the same QR code or the manual details. Moving it to a different phone is not possible. The QR code and the SM-DP+ details stay available in your account, under My eSIMs.
What should I do if the internet doesn’t work after installing the eSIM?
If you experience issues with internet access, check the following: Data roaming is enabled for your eSIM in your phone’s settings; APN settings are not empty. If they are, configure them manually. The APN name is provided in the email with your eSIM QR code. Leave the username and password fields blank; The eSIM is selected as the mobile data line, especially if you have multiple SIM/eSIM profiles installed. If you've checked all the above and the internet still doesn't work, try reinstalling the eSIM using the same QR code on the same device. If none of these steps help, please contact our customer support team.
